Rates

Papua Diving is open all year and bookings can be accepted for any length of stay. As a standard, trips are arranged from Sunday to Sunday, but it is possible to schedule arrival and departure at any day of the week. We need to charge transfer costs for non- Sunday transfers. Transfers to and from our resort on Sundays are free.

Special Expeditions

Each year we arrange one or more special trips. Such trips could be to explore remote places, have a scientific purpose or search for shipwrecks or aircraft wrecks.. This year a visit to Amsterdam Island for some Pioneer Diving and to visit the vast Leatherback Turtle nesting area is planned. Wayag, an area of beautiful landscapes, is a must-see location. We have found some world-class dive sites while exploring the area between our eco-resort and Wayag.

* Accommodation prices include the following:

Tea, coffee, syrups and cold drinking water are free. Soft drinks and beer are available, against a fee.

Transfers from the airport to the dive resort and vice versa on Sundays (see below conditions).

Trips can be booked under the following conditions, please read carefully:

TRANSFERS & HOTEL PACKAGE:

Each Sunday, transfers by boat take place from the airport/coastal city of Sorong (Papua) to the dive resorts, located on Kri Island. The trip takes about one and a half hours and covers 75 km. These transfers are free of charge. If you do plan to arrive in Sorong on a Saturday, we are more than happy to arrange accommodation for you in Sorong.
For transfers other than our regular Sunday transfers, a charge of 250,- per transfer applies. This is a charge for the boat, in which a maximum of six persons can be transferred. So the transfer price per person depends on the amount of persons that are being transferred. If you are traveling with a party of 6, the price is 36,- and if you are traveling alone, the price is
250,-. Of course we will always try to combine as many passenger transfers as possible, to minimize the charges per person. Upon receiving your booking request, we will advise you what the charges will be on the date you wish to travel. Children under the age of 4 can stay free of charge. Children between 4 and 8 years old are charged 25% of the accommodation price, children between 9 and 14 years old are charged 50% of the accommodation price and children over 14 are charged full price.

DIVING:

There are no dive trips scheduled for Saturdays. This day is used to relax and degas and an alternative program is available where you can hike, kayak, snorkel or visit the illustrious red bird of paradise at an adjacent island.

BOOKING:

In order to confirm a booking, we require a down payment of 25% of the total price of your trip.
Full payment of the total trip fee must be received 45 days before planned arrival date.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Internet booking (from mid 2005)
We expect to start offering this service as from mid 2005 and from then will then be able to register and confirm (after payment of the advance) your booking via the internet. Payment of the advance and total trip fee can then also take place via a secure internet transaction, using your credit card.
Of course great care will be taken to ensure that these transactions are done accurately and safely. Please keep an eye on our "News" section to find out the latest info on this.

Exploration, Survey Support, Pioneering
Papua Diving specializes in planning and executing pioneering / exploration trips. We have experience in providing logistic support for scientific surveys as well as for nature documentaries. We have provided support for:

Terms and Conditions - Important
If you are not willing to abide by the following Terms and Conditions, or if you are unwilling to personally accept responsibility for your own actions, personal liability and well being, please do not make use of the services of Papua Diving.

Papua Diving , will provide services based on the following Terms and Conditions.

The clients' acceptance of verbal or written confirmation, and/or a deposit or final payment for services, constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Payments: For all trips a 25% per person deposit is required to guarantee booking, with payment in full due 45 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 45 or more days prior to arrival will be refunded less a 25% per person service fee. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival are subject to a 50% per person cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival are fully non-refundable. Cancellation must be received in writing.

Documentation: For travel to Indonesia one must have a valid Passport that has at least 6 more months validity after the planned departure date. All guests must bring 3 passport photos that will be used to obtain the surat jalan, a necessary travel permit issued by the local police department.

Responsibility and Liability: Papua Diving , its officers, employees, agents, and contractors are not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, accident, damage, delay, omission, irregularity or nonperformance occurring in connection with these arrangements.

Scuba Divers must have valid Diver Certification Card. Only certified divers may participate in dive packages. Scuba divers are fully and completely responsible for themselves and their equipment. The only equipment routinely supplied on dive packages are tanks, weights, and weight belt. The client understands and accepts all risks associated with any and all activities, and land and water sports engaged in, including but not limited to swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and boating.

Saturday Policy: Papua Diving has Saturday as a day of rest. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, however offer no diving. Guest are invited to go hiking, kayaking, birding, snorkeling, play badminton a.o. This day to relax is generally well appreciated, we just state it here so things are clear.

In making use of any services of Papua Diving , the client accepts, and agrees to abide by, these aforestated Terms and Conditions. It is our pleasure to serve you.
Papua Diving strongly advises all her guest to take good travel insurance. Pls. remember that we are remotely located so it is a good idea to include emergency medical evacuation. Also los of stay/dives due to delay of flights or not being able to dive due to sickness should be considered.
